Household insurance has an image problem - it is the forgotten policy, only grudgingly remembered by reluctant customers. On the other hand, a good deal on motor insurance might merit a discussion in the pub, because it is a legal requirement. Even travel insurance has a higher profile, with numerous adverts in all forums shouting cheap premiums next to phone numbers.
