Private motor policies remain one of the biggest insurance markets in the UK. Heavily advertised and promoted, and of course a legal requirement.

There are currently 26 million private policies held in Britain from a whole range of providers. This increasingly commoditised insurance product is sold in a crowded marketplace where volume is king. Brokers may feel this is not for them as their share of the market shrinks, but a profit on private motor work can be made for those prepared to work at
