Private medical insurance (PMI) has long been considered an elitist and unaffordable product. However, while the NHS continues to draw negative media attention and lose public confidence, the PMI market has raised its game with innovative products and services in both the individual and corporate sectors. In addition, the market has remained active, with the likes of Tesco entering the sector and PruHealth bringing a completely different proposition to play.
