Concern grows over Das investigation into chief executive

As revealed by Insurance Age, Paul Asplin, the chief executive of legal expenses insurer Das, was suspended last month and is now under investigation, allegedly over concerns about his relationship with a former service supplier to the firm.

Industry reacts to discount rate change

Insurance industry specialists have welcomed the government moving the personal injury discount rate to 0.5% with PwC calculating it will lower motor premiums by £50 on average.
