The government has committed more than £28m of new funding to a series of fraud initiatives set to be rolled out throughout the year.
Following the government's major review of fraud in July 2006, a shortlist of the Fraud Review's major proposals was identified for development as part of the Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR). The CSR backed the adoption of these recommendations, which included:
