A survey has revealed that 86% of brokers have adopted Electronic Claims Files (ECF), despite the initial resistance to a change in the working practices of claims handling.
The research by law firm CMS Cameron McKenna and insurer Markel International found three-quarters of the London insurance market had bought into the industry solution. The flexibility of the ECF process and reductions in the need to offshore operations were cited as contributing to significant improvements in business
