Clients making rash decisions over cover, writes Jessica Pothering

The insurance industry has been predicting for the past few months that the economic climate will drive consumers to trim their expenses - insurance included. On the broker forum this month, examples of this started trickling in, not all of which were driven by entirely rational judgement. One broker reported the near-schizophrenic episode that a client had over the value of his home possessions, in the end deciding not to insure
