The Cobra network has announced the purchase of a substantial shareholding in Lloyd's broker G.A.L Holdings. The agreement provides both companies with a significant increase in respective gross written premiums (GWP). Cobra's GWP will increase from £200m to a combined total of over £260m. It will become the largest shareholder of G.A.L Holdings with Steve Burrows and John Lincoln from Cobra joining the board of directors.
