Some 89% of older people think bad drivers should be retrained, whatever their age, according to Age Concern research. The charity says proposals to retest all older drivers, regardless of ability, are discriminatory, and independent research by the Institute of Advanced Motorists shows motorists over the age of 70 are significantly safer than those under 30.
