The Welsh insurance market is set for a renewed battle following moves by brokers and insurers into the country and Welsh Development Agency (WDA) plans to make a concerted push to attract insurance businesses to Wales.
Allianz Cornhill, which presently underwrites business in Wales from Bristol, is understood by Insurance Age to be planning to set up a commercial lines branch in the country.
