Brokers on the Open GI system could be facing increased costs after the software provider notified insurers that it would be making wholesale changes to its EDI pricing model.
Insurance Age understands that insurers using the Open GI system have been told that all previous contracts in relation to EDI transaction charges will be renegotiated. A follow-up letter explained that the charges were set to increase, in some cases by 50%.
One insurer claimed the move could prove counterproductive for Open
