Venture Preference (VP) has established a presence in the North-west, with the acquisition of Chambers & Newman (Manchester). VP said the move held strategic significance because brokers in the region have largely been unreceptive to the advances of consolidators. The purchase has also established a Manchester base for the firm. The deal represents an increase in gross written premium of £8m.
