The results of First Assist's mini health assessments at the conference showed that male brokers, both under and over 40, were at a lower risk from smoking and physical activity than the average UK male. However, brokers of both age groups showed a higher than average risk of excess alcohol levels, being overweight, and elevated cholesterol and blood pressure. Female brokers over 40 were at a higher risk than the average UK female, due to excess alcohol consumption and cholesterol levels.
