The Financial Services Authority (FSA) will have to address the problems of bid rigging and contingent commissions raised by the Spitzer inquiry in the US, if only to satisfy public pressure, according to leading compliance experts.

Speaking at the Insurance Age Power Hour (see p.20-21), Colin Darmell, service quality manager, Groupama said he did not see how the FSA could avoid getting more involved in the debate once it starts regulating general insurance on 14 January 2005.
