The Towergate Partnership has acquired the following companies: Arbuthnot Insurance which controls £12m of predominantly commercial premium; ARG Group which has £11m of gross written premium; Smith Wingell & Co based in Northampton which currently places £1.5m in commercial and personal lines; David Brake Insurance Consultants, based in Norfolk, which controls £2m in premiums; and Eric Barber and Co, based in Northampton.
