The Folgate Partnership announced with regret the sudden death of John Marshgreen. Mr Marshgreen started in insurance at the age of 16. At the age of 20, he and his school friend Peter Dessent joined the broker Donald Duncan and four years later they jointly acquired it. They acquired other brokers including Pococks, which led to the formation of Duncan Pocock Insurance Brokers based in Oxted in Surrey. Mr Marshgreen leaves a wife, Susie, and two daughters.
