A new Faculty of Underwriting has been formally launched by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). The Faculty has been introduced to provide support to those working within the functions of underwriting, pricing, risk modelling, risk management/control/surveying, reinsurance, marketing/sales, compliance and audit. Nearly 2,500 members have already signed up to join the Faculty after the intention to create it was announced last year.
