Consumers are deeply cynical towards insurance companies, display no brand loyalty and believe the whole process is a "con", according to a study conducted by the Newspaper Marketing Agency (NMA).
The NMA, which commissions market research to help companies improve the quality of their advertising, canvassed the opinion of 1,600 newspaper readers for the report.
The study found that despite efforts from the industry to improve its public perception, consumers were deeply distrustful of insurance
