Harrison Insurance Brokers reprimanded by GISC

At a meeting on 25 November 2003, the Enforcement Committee of the General Insurance Standards Council ("GISC") decided that Harrison had grossed up premium.

The Enforcement Committee wishes to make it clear that grossing up premium is not compatible with continued membership of GISC.

The Committee has decided that, in addition to paying a fine, Harrison should be publicly reprimanded and required to repay all sums wrongfully charged and bring itself into full regulatory compliance as a condition of its continuing membership of GISC. Harrison's membership of GISC is suspended until these conditions are satisfied.
