BIBA strengthens members services with new appointments

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (Biba), has announced two new appointments to bolster its regulation and compliance facility for brokers.

Steve White has been appointed to the new role of regulation and compliance manager and Branko Bjelobaba has become a consultant to the trade body, supporting the members services team on regulation and compliance issues.

The association stated that the appointments formed part of chief executive, Eric Galbraith’s, commitment to strengthen the regulation and compliance service Biba is able to offer to its members.

FSCS gives first insight on increasing levy to £394m

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme has indicated its levy for 2025/26 will rise to £394m from £265m this financial year as it cited having lower surpluses to carry forward and offset bills – a factor that has benefited brokers for two years in a row.
