Smart and Cook makes new acquisition
National insurance broker Smart and Cook has acquired the business of independent Lincolnshire broker B&D Insurance.
The sale, completed earlier this month, consists solely of the unincorporated firm’s book of business, which will be added to the roster of clients served by Smart and Cook’s Lincoln office.B&D Insurance, which placed approximately £500,000 worth of premiums per year, was run by Deirdre Bannister, who decided to sell following the introduction of new insurance marketplace regulations.
