Aon forecasts static energy rates
The expected rate rises have failed to materialise
Aon has predicted that offshore energy insurance premiums would remain flat for October's renewals, dependent on location, loss history and limit sought.
The broker said this was a very different position from the beginning of 2009 when rates were expected to rise between 15% and 20%.
For companies looking to insure large and/or complex risks, Aon claimed insurers were still trying to extract rate rises, as they sought to claw back profits from a sector that has been battered by catastrophic
