Comparison sites blamed for impact on pricing

Leading insurers joined forces to praise the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and criticise the impact of aggregators at Future of General Insurance Conference.

Chief executive officer at Axa, Phillippe Maso, said he was genuinely surprised by how shocked people where when he said that the FSA was "wonderful" at the British Insurance Brokers' Association conference held earlier this year.

He explained that, in comparison to regulators in France and Germany, the FSA is far closer to the needs
