Zurich Insurance has agreed to improve information security after losing more than 46,000 individuals' personal financial information. As reported in Insurance Age (November 2009, p4), the insurer revealed the loss a year after the tape went missing in South Africa. The Information Commissioner's Office has found Zurich Insurance in breach of the Data Protection Act after it lost the unencrypted back-up tape containing personal information belonging to policyholders of Zurich Private Client

FSCS gives first insight on increasing levy to £394m
