New Lloyd's underwriting agency launched
A new Lloyd’s underwriting vehicle, backed by Hiscox, has begun trading in the automobile and mobile equipment industries.
White Oak Underwriting Agency, headed up by John Shepherd, will be writing business using capacity provided by Hiscox Syndicate 3624.
Mr Shepherd claimed that this was “an excellent time to start trading” as he said the market had bottomed out and he anticipated rates would rise.
“This together with business that can be immediately transferred to White Oak will, we are certain, provide a secure platform for White Oak to grow into a major leading underwriting agency of specialist business lines,”
