Quinn to quit UK PI
Quinn Insurance will not reopen its professional indemnity (PI) business in the UK despite the likelihood it will recommence underwriting other commercial lines.
A spokesman for Quinn's administrator Grant Thornton, confirmed that a business plan has been put together for it to re-enter commercial lines.
However, he added: "Quinn has no plans at all to reopen the PI business.
"It will not be opening up all of the commercial lines because some of them are not profitable. The Financial Regulator has asked the administrator to do more actuarial analysis of a number of those lines and once that is done they will resubmit it."
