Aviva broker chief Brigid Murphy to quit

Aviva has today announced that Brigid Murphy, director of regional brokers for the UK general insurance business, is to leave her role in June.

Ms Murphy, who joined Aviva at the beginning 2009 as director of trading and took over the director of regional broker role at the end of last year, is returning to Canada.

Her role will now be split into two directors of trading, with Gareth Hemming and Jon Neill being promoted from within Ms Murphy's team. Both will report directly to Janice Deakin, intermediary and partnerships director.
