Axa head condemns claims farming practice as 'immoral'
Axa's head of personal lines intermediary has slammed brokers that make money from the "immoral" practice of claims farming, warning that insurers would penalise those who were heavily involved.
Mike Keating said claims farming was as prevalent as ever and that he had seen a "disturbing trend where old claims are being reopened through the aggressiveness of accident management companies".
"They are getting access to this data from somewhere and it is another alarming feature of the private motor market. This gives me great concern over where this problem will eventually end up," he said.
