News: A series of broker buys fuels an increase in acquisition activity
The recent flurry of insurance market acquisitions has continued with a number of broker buys.
As reported by Insurance Age (May 2010), industry experts have voiced differing opinions over whether a recent rise in acquisition activity signalled a return to frenzied pre-recession purchasing behaviour or was merely a blip.
However, activity has continued unabated with Brightside Group confirming plans to acquire the Ecar and Ebike insurance brands, Bluefin buying the general insurance business of GM Towns & Partners and Cullum Capital Ventures (CCV) snapping up the general insurance
