FSA announces senior departure following shake-up plans
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has announced that Mark Norris, chief operating officer and managing director, has decided to leave the organisation to seek fresh challenges and opportunities.
It follows Chancellor George Osborne's announcement that the regulatory system will be reformed and that the FSA will "cease to exist in its current form".
In a statement issued today, Mr Norris said: “It has been an interesting and challenging time at the FSA. Since joining I have initiated and delivered major change within the operations business unit and developed and introduced a new operating model, and now is a good time to pursue other opportunities.”
