Birmingham exposed as worst 'crash for cash' area
Birmingham has topped the Insurance Fraud Bureau's (IFB) top 20 league table of crash for cash hotspots in Q2 2010.
Liverpool came second in the table, which draws on two years of insurance claims and policy data, followed by Blackburn, Manchester and Leeds.
Glen Marr, director of the IFB, said: "The IFB currently has 24 active joint police operations, with a combined value of approximately £41m, spread across 15 police forces.
