Barbon set to expand as comeback proves a success

Managing director of Barbon Insurance Group, Martin Oliver, has said the business was fighting back and had reclaimed a majority of the business it lost in its lettings and commercial property business as Erinaceous Insurance Services.

Mr Oliver added he was keen to add to the six brokerages the company already owned and aimed to make an acquisition in the next few weeks.

"Two and half years ago it was well publicised that we lost business, but in the past 12-18 months in our lettings division [Homelet and Letsure], we have won most of it back. The lettings market is pretty stable and we have been seeing some strong organic growth," Mr Oliver said.

He went on to say that Lincoln-based Homelet was now experiencing 20% year-on
