Survey shows half of brokers unaware of CIE regulations

Allianz Commercial has found that almost 50% of brokers have no knowledge of the new Continuous Insurance Enforcement regulations, which are due to come into force early in 2011.

A survey of over 900 brokers for the insurer also revealed that 87% of respondents did not feel supported by their insurance partners regarding the legislation.

Further results included that 49.6% did not know their own responsibilities and only 11.7% felt they knew to a large extent; 66% were not aware of the penalties proposed under the scheme and 98% had not received any enquiries from their motor insurance clients regarding CIE.
