Launch of MGAA may hinge on insurer and supplier take up

The future of the Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA) could be dependent upon appetite from insurers and suppliers, according to the chairman of its steering committee.

In a statement the association said that its steering committee had recently met with representatives from UK insurers and suppliers such as accountants, lawyers and IT companies. The parties have been offered associate member status meaning they cannot vote or sit on the committee.

To join, insurers and suppliers will need to pay an initial fee of £1,500 followed by an annual fee of £3,500.
