Scarrett out at Willis Networks

Willis has announced that MD of its networks proposition, Phil Scarrett, will leave the business at the end of the month.

Mr Scarrett, who ran the networks division for just over a year, will be replaced by current development director of Willis Underwriting, Sara Fardon as MD.

At the time of his appointment in October 2009 Mr Scarrett was tasked with the “rapid expansion” of both Willis Commercial Network and Willis N². In an interview with Insurance Age in May 2010 Mr Scarrett revealed he intended to take the larger commercial network to 100 members and bring the smaller N² proposition up to a similar level of

FSCS gives first insight on increasing levy to £394m

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme has indicated its levy for 2025/26 will rise to £394m from £265m this financial year as it cited having lower surpluses to carry forward and offset bills – a factor that has benefited brokers for two years in a row.
