APC to double SME presence in the North

APC has revealed it aims to double its book of SME business in the North of England and Scotland over the next 18 months by hiring a dedicated business development manager (BDM) for the region.

The commercial underwriting agency said the recruitment process to find a local expert was already underway. A formal announcement is expected before The British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) 2011 conference in May.

APC confirmed that the appointment, which will be its fifth, would also complete its broker support network of BDMs across the UK.
