Aviva makes aggregator u-turn

Turnaround deals have been conspicuous by their rarity

Aviva has confirmed it intends to return to the aggregator space for private motor with a new, separately branded internet-only offering.

Further details are expected to be announced this summer with the move coming less than three years after the insurer withdrew from aggregators.

As the insurer released its results for Q1, Aviva UK's chief executive, Mark Hodges, described the development as a natural extension of what the insurer does.
