John McFarlane revealed as next chairman at Aviva
Aviva has announced that John McFarlane will take up the position of chairman from Lord Sharman at the end of June 2012.
As part of the transition Mr McFarlane will become a non-executive director on 1 September 2011 and then deputy chairman on 1 January 2012.
He is currently a non-executive director of Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Westfield Holdings. For 10 years he was chief executive officer of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited.
