Cooper Gay creates senior IT post

Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford (CGSC) has appointed Brent Kruger as its first group chief information officer.

Based in London, Mr Kruger will lead all of the wholesale and reinsurance broking group's IT initiatives for its global trading companies across 60 offices. He will also focus on driving efficiencies from existing technology programmes and outsourcing arrangements.

He joins from Aon (London) where Mr Kruger held the position of chief information officer for risk solutions UK since 2008. Prior to joining Aon as an IT director in 2001, he managed IT projects for banks including Chase Manhattan and

FSCS gives first insight on increasing levy to £394m

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme has indicated its levy for 2025/26 will rise to £394m from £265m this financial year as it cited having lower surpluses to carry forward and offset bills – a factor that has benefited brokers for two years in a row.
