R&Q takes on latest run-off business, adding to HNW portfolio
Randall and Quilter Investment Holdings (R&Q) has bought the yacht and marine trade book from Talbot Underwriting subsidiary Underwriting Risk Services.
R&Q will run off the existing policies thought to be worth in the region of £16m.
Underwriting Risk Services’ current managing director Nicholas Hales will take up the position of CEO of R&Q MGA, subject to approval from Lloyd’s and the Financial Services Authority.
Mr Hales will be responsible for R&Q’s global MGA platform.
Paul Miller, current underwriting director at Underwriting Risk Services, will take up the position of underwriting director of R&Q Marine Services.
