MMA CEO appointed deputy chairman of Covéa

Garry Fearn has been appointed executive deputy chairman of Covéa Insurance.

He was previously CEO of MMA Insurance, which is owned by Covéa.

The move follows news in January that MMA is to be rebranded as Covéa Insurance before the end of 2012 as part of a merger with Provident Insurance whose chief, James Reader, was chosen to lead the new organisation.

Mr Fearn will report to Graham Doswell, chairman at the insurer.
