Igal Mayer out at Aviva as former Axa boss moves upwards
Igal Mayer is the highest profile casualty of a senior level Aviva management reshuffle that sees major top level changes at the insurer.
The former boss of Aviva’s UK general insurance business has fallen prey to senior managerial changes that will see his one-time rival, former Axa CEO and current Aviva CEO France, Philippe Maso, join the Group Executive Committee (GEC) at the insurer.
In addition to Mr Maso, David McMillan, CEO of the UK and Ireland general insurance business, and David Barral, CEO of the UK and Ireland life insurance business, have also joined the GEC.
All will report to group chief executive, Andrew Moss.
