Admiral reports improved turnover for Q1

Admiral Group increased its turnover to £586m in the first quarter of 2012, up 9% from £539m in Q1 2011.

The group reported a 17% increase to its vehicle count, up from 2.9 million in the first three months of 2011 to 3.4 million in the quarter ended March 2012.

Admiral also reported a stable UK other revenue per vehicle at £84 for the quarter.

Henry Engelhardt, CEO at Admiral, said: "Admiral has made a good start to the year with performance in the first quarter as we had expected.

"Our business continues to grow and prosper and our expectations for the full year remain positive and unchanged."
