Zurich aims to improve visibility to small brokers

Zurich is renewing its commitment to smaller regional brokers, recruiting 16 new sales executives who will be responsible for looking after around 2,000 brokers.

Darren Pacey, sales and distribution director at the insurer, told Insurance Age: “What we are trying to do is create that relationship that’s probably been lacking in recent years.

“We’re doing quite a bit of extensive training, and the guys will be getting out there over this month and next month."

He said there would be a focus on visibility, as some brokers felt they were “in a black hole” and needed to feel that they could easily contact the insurer
