Ex-Insurance Age editor Martin Friel joins Axa

Axa Commercial Lines has appointed former Insurance Age editor, Martin Friel, as head of media strategy with immediate effect.

In this newly created leadership role, Mr Friel will develop Axa Commercial Lines' multi-media strategy with specific emphasis on how the company engages with its customers and employees via social and other digital media.

He will report directly to commercial lines CEO, Amanda Blanc.

Ms Blanc commented: "Martin is highly regarded by the industry. During his years at Insurance Age, he established a reputation for straight talking. It's a quality that I admire and one that I want to ensure runs
