Harvey retires from Lorega

Malcolm Harvey has retired from the roles of director and chairman at Lorega.

Mr Harvey, together with his wife Judy Jago, founded Lorega in 1983 and the loss recovery insurance firm now operates with over 500 UK insurance brokers and agents.

Responsibility for leading Lorega will be assumed by current group managing director, Neill Johnstone.

He joined Lorega in 1988 and has over 25 years of insurance market experience.

Industry reacts to discount rate change

Insurance industry specialists have welcomed the government moving the personal injury discount rate to 0.5% with PwC calculating it will lower motor premiums by £50 on average.
