Chartis unveils UK middle market distribution manager

Chartis has moved to appoint a new UK middle market distribution manager as it continues its bid to evolve its business model.

Richard Jinks - who joined Chartis in 2003 as an account relationship manager for the major accounts practice - has been confirmed in the role.

Based in Birmingham and London he will report to Nicolas Aubert, managing director of Chartis in the UK, pending the appointment of a head of distribution, as well as Amy Wilson, head of the corporate accounts practice, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Industry reacts to discount rate change

Insurance industry specialists have welcomed the government moving the personal injury discount rate to 0.5% with PwC calculating it will lower motor premiums by £50 on average.
