Cornish Mutual has launched a campaign to recruit new farmer members in the West Country.

The provider, which is based in Truro, plans to roll out an information campaign targeting farmers in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset.

There will also be an increased presence of Cornish Mutual local inspectors at livestock markets and communities in the region.

The firm currently has 24,000 members, and Paul Mahon, head of business development, said that while the company has plans for growth in all areas of the business, “a key strand is targeting further growth in farm insurance”.
