UK General unveils new management team as commercial MD resigns

Peter Hubbard has been appointed chief executive of UK General, and Cathie Bruce, managing director commercial, has resigned.

Mr Hubbard was previously executive chairman at the Leeds-based provider, and has also held the role of CEO at Axa.

He will be joined by his former colleague, Michael Keating, who is stepping into Ms Bruce’s job.

Mr Keating was managing director, intermediary and partnerships sales at Axa until December 2011.

Dean Robertson has also been appointed, as sales director. Mr Robertson was previously head of sales at Rural Insurance, UK General’s specialist agricultural arm, and will be replaced by
