Aon reports profit and revenue up
Aon’s retail brokerage division has reported revenue of $6.1bn (£3.9bn) for 2012, up 1% from the $6bn reported for 2011.
The broker does not publish separate UK results, but its international retail brokerage revenue, which excludes the Americas, totalled $3bn.
The same division reported $811m revenue for the final quarter of 2012, which was a 2% increase on the $797m reported for 2011.
Across the group profits rose to $993m from $979m in 2011 as total revenues came in at $11.5bn for 2012, up 2% compared with the $11.2bn reported in 2011.
